This controller is suitable for DAQ applications and processor-intensive modular instrumentation. The user has the option to create their application on the NI LabVIEW Real-Time Module on Windows, then download the program to their PXI-8119 RT through Ethernet. The embedded code performs on a real-time OS, so the user can utilize the versatile tools of LabVIEW. In addition, the user can designate specific tasks to run on certain cores of the processor or allow the real-time OS to take care of it.

Embedded LabVIEW Real-Time applications will keep running despite the host PC being halted or restarted. This guarantees dependable operation.
